Good day,
Yesterday was the start of a new show: 'My Name is Michael'. You can guess where it's about, that's right, Michael Jackson. It's a talent show for everyone who loves Michael Jackson and is good at imitating him. Okay, nothing wrong with that, it's a way to honour the King of Pop. But what the big problem is: This show is made by Albert Verlinde! For the non-Dutch people: Albert Verlinde is a big productor of musicals in the Netherlands. And that's where the whole thing is about, Albert Verlinde is planning to create a musical and the winner of 'My Name is Michael' is going to have the leading part of the musical. Very well, might be a nice musical. But what I just can't understand is why Albert Verlinde is making this show. Okay, actually I do, because it's all for the money. Making money with someone elses death, that's just disrespectful. Very disrespectful. And then such a person as Albert Verlinde, who always made fun of Michael and call him names and make him ridiculous... That just isn't right.
I must admit I have watched the show yesterday, but I think it's a bit pityful that children of nine years old and guys of 40 years old imitate the King and that they are picked because of a little bit sing and dance talent. They don't even remind me of Michael. And besides, in my opinion there is absolutely no one who could imitate Michael Jackson. Michael Jackson is Michael Jackson, that's why he's the King of Pop.
I'm not going to watch the next episodes. It's a bit pathetic...Love,
